Born in 1964 in Zanzibar, living in the Sultanate of Oman.

Like most photographers I started taking pictures when I was 14 by a camera given to me by my beloved father, it was a start of a hobby which developed into a passion. I taught myself by reading photographic magazines and books and by trial and error .By looking at the art work of great photographers I developed a keen eye for seeing and composing images into good pictures. Photography to me is like telling stories but instead of words we use images and I think the best story teller that who can tell story in one frame. I am inspired by the work and storytelling of great Henri Cartier Bresson, Sebastiao Salgado, James Nechtwey and Chris Rainier. I like documentary, environmental portraiture and abstract photography, most of my work is done in black and white.
